Just a note about the weather in the Las Vegas area

Well a shocker for someone moving to the Vegas area: It is windy. Living with the valley and mountains behind me when the gusts get up to 50 plus mph it sounds like a train going behind the house. Garbage cans, decorations, plants all just blow up and down the street if they are not weighted down. But that is why it is cooler than the Phoenix area. It has rained about 2 times this year at my house but I have seen the rain on the mountains behind me and once it rained some big drops on my back fence but not in the yard. With watering ration I am glad I do not have grass but it would be nice to have a really good downpour every once in a while. Well needless to say my hair is short and has a sort of windblown look - easy to fix: Shampoo the hair, go outside and spray - it is a done deal. Well this seems to be some sort of weather report. Will post and go on with the next month.
